Andrew Benintendi has been promoted to the Boston Red Sox' single-A team, the Greenville Drive, according to Sox Prospects.
The former Arkansas centerfielder struggled in single-A short season Lowell after being taken seventh overall in this year's MLB Draft, but has heated up recently.
In his last 10 games, he is 15-for-36 (.417) with three home runs, six walks and two stolen bases. The stretch raised his batting average by 46 points, to .290 this season.
He has seven home runs, four triples, seven stolen bases, 15 RBIs and 25 walks in 35 games with Lowell. His .540 slugging percentage is second in the New York-Penn League, while his .408 on-base percentage is fifth in the league.
Benintendi will join a pair of former Razorbacks already in Greenville: pitchers Jalen Beeks and Michael Gunn.
