Kapita headed to prep school

Arkansas Coach Mike Anderson was one of several SEC coaches who echoed South Carolina Coach Frank Martin’s sentiments about the Confederate flag being removed from public places.

Arkansas Democrat-Gazette's Bob Holt reports Arkansas has confirmed basketball signee Ted Kapita is not enrolled for the fall semester and will attend prep school instead.

Kapita, 6-9, 235 pounds, played this past season at Huntington Prep in West Virginia. He committed to play at Spire Institute in Geneva, Ohio on July 22.

At the time of his commitment to Spire, Huntington Coach Arkell Bruce said it was possible Kapita could transfer from Spire after one semester.

ESPN rated Kapita the No. 16 power forward and the No. 91 overall prospect in the nation.
