Hogs win easily to snap losing skid

— Arkansas bounced back from two losses in the NIT Season Tip-Off with a resounding win over Northwestern State on Tuesday.

The Razorbacks beat the Demons 117-78 at Bud Walton Arena to snap a two-game losing streak. Arkansas improved to 3-3 ahead of its first true road game of the season on Friday at Wake Forest.

Dusty Hannahs and Moses Kingsley each scored 21 points as the Razorbacks recorded their most lopsided victory of the season. Kingsley also had 10 rebounds to record a double-double for the second straight game.

Seven Razorbacks scored in double figures. Anthlon Bell scored 17 points, Jabril Durham 14, Willie Kouassi 12, Keaton Miles 11 and Jimmy Whitt 10.

Durham also had 10 assists and five steals.

Arkansas made 44 of 79 field goal attempts. The Razorbacks forced 25 turnovers and converted them into 39 points.

After trailing 27-26, Arkansas used a 15-0 run late in the first half to take control of the game.

The Razorbacks led 54-38 at halftime.

After blowing a 17-point lead in its last game, Arkansas used a 14-1 midway through the second half to put the score out of reach. The Razorbacks led by as many as 43 points.

Zeek Woodley led Northwestern State with 26 points. The Demons (1-6) made 47 percent of their field goal attempts, but were hampered by the turnovers and a minus-16 rebound margin.
