The Recruiting Guy

Friday recruiting tidbits

Highly recruited running back Devwah Whaley.

Arkansas continued to do in-home visits with several top prospects this week.

Hogs running backs coach Jemal Singleton and defensive backs coach Clay Jennings made an in-home visit with running back target Devwah Whaley of Beaumont, (Texas) Central Wednesday night. Coach Bret Bielema will make an in-home next week.

Not that it's out, Baylor offensive line commitment Patrick Hudson of Silsbee, Texas is one of the highly recruited prospects I've mentioned here that plans to make an official visit to Fayetteville. Offensive line Coach Sam Pittman visited him Monday school.

The highly regarded defensive prospect committed elsewhere I've also mention, still plans to make an official visit. It will likely happen in January.

Arkansas visited an ESPN 300 committed defensive prospect earlier this week. Should know fairly soon if he'll visit in the future.

The Hogs visited an ESPN 300 2017 prospect committed elsewhere on Tuesday. I don't expect the Hogs to give up on this recruit.

Arkansas receivers coach Michael Smith made an in-home visit with highly recruited cornerback Kristin Fulton of Metairie (La.) Rummel Thursday night. He said they discussed a Jan. 15 as a possible date for an official visit.

Offensive guard Dwayne Wallace of Riverside City College is expected to officially visit California this weekend.

As of now, Arkansas official visitors for this weekend:

DE Allen Cater-Kennesaw, (Ga.) Mt. Paran Christian, arriving around 4-6 today.

** DE Keir Thomas- Miami Central

DE McTelvin Agim- Hope

QB Cole Kelley- Lafayette, (La.) Teurlings Catholic-, expected to arrive around 12:30 today.

CB Jamarcus King- Coffeyville Community College

A highly recruited prospect will likely tweet out around noon to 1:30 about his plans to visit this weekend.

Another highly regarded prospect is also expected to visit.

** Thomas will arrive very early Saturday morning if his team wins tonight. If they lose, he'll visit next weekend.

7:09 update

Arkansas running backs coach Jemal Singleton is attending the Manvel, Texas vs. Katy, Texas playoff game tonight to watch running back targets D'Vaughn Pennamon of Manvel and Kyle Porter of Katy.
