No hike in prices, UA says

Arkansas football fans cheer prior to a game against Georgia on Saturday, Oct. 18, 2014, at War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock.

FAYETTEVILLE -- Tickets prices for University of Arkansas football games will remain steady for the fifth consecutive season, the athletic department announced Friday.

The Razorbacks will play seven home games next fall, six at Reynolds Razorback Stadium in Fayetteville and one at War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock against Toledo on Sept. 12.

"We appreciate the tremendous loyalty and passion of our fans in supporting Razorback football," Arkansas Athletic Director Jeff Long said in a statement. "Our continued goal is to fill our home stadiums for each and every game, giving our student-athletes a tremendous home-field advantage.

"Our ability to maintain season ticket prices at their current level for the past five seasons has been made possible by the continued support of Razorback Foundation members, season ticket holders and support developed through sponsorships."

Arkansas is coming off a 7-6 season that included a 31-7 victory over Texas in the Texas Bowl. The Razorbacks ranked 10th in the SEC in attendance based on percentage of capacity in the SEC last year, averaging 96.96 percent for their seven home games. Arkansas ranked ahead of Florida (96.93 percent), Kentucky (92.7 percent), Missouri (91.4 percent) and Vanderbilt (72.1 percent).

Arkansas averaged 66,521 fans for its six games at Razorback Stadium, which is 92.4 percent of the venue's capacity of 72,000. Arkansas drew a crowd of 54,949 -- more than its capacity of 54,120 -- for its lone game at War Memorial Stadium, a 45-32 loss to Georgia.

Prices for season tickets in Fayetteville for 2015 are $300 for stadium seating and Pig Heaven; $360 for Red Zone; $600 for south indoor and outdoor club; $750 for east outdoor club; and $900 for east indoor club.

Single-game tickets for the Toledo game at War Memorial are $55.

The university announced there will be an expanded number of seats at War Memorial Stadium that will not require a per-seat donation to the Razorback Foundation. Fans also will be able to purchase as many tickets as are available in sections 34-37 with a $50 membership to the Razorback Foundation.
