Hogs beat Mizzou, win fifth straight

— Mike Anderson's third win over his former program was his easiest yet.

Arkansas easily beat Missouri 84-69 on Wednesday in a game of two programs going in opposite directions. The No. 18 Razorbacks won their fifth straight game, while the Tigers tied a school-record with their 12th straight loss.

Arkansas (21-5, 10-3 SEC) has won eight of its last nine games.

Michael Qualls scored 21 points to lead the Razorbacks. Bobby Portis added 16 points and nine rebounds, and Anton Beard scored 13 points.

Trailing by three, the Razorbacks used a 15-0 run to take command in the first half. Arkansas held Missouri without a basket for more than seven minutes, a stretch during which the Tigers committed nine turnovers.

The Razorbacks led 37-29 at halftime and by as many as 18 points in the second half. With the game in-hand, Arkansas was able to sit many of its starters in the closing minutes of the game.

Anderson improved to 3-3 all-time against Missouri, where he coached for five seasons before accepting the Arkansas job in 2011. The Razorbacks' previous two wins over the Tigers were by two points and one point.

Arkansas won 61-60 at Missouri on Jan. 24.

Johnathan Williams III and Tramaine Isabell scored 13 points to lead the Tigers (11-19, 1-12). Missouri hasn't won a game since its conference opener.
