Diamond Hogs change weekend schedule

— Arkansas has canceled its four-game series against California that was scheduled to begin Thursday and will instead play a three-game series against Eastern Illinois beginning Saturday at Baum Stadium.

California opted to not come to Fayetteville because of expected winter weather Thursday and Friday. Eastern Illinois' scheduled series at Kansas State this weekend was also canceled because of winter weather.

Arkansas' game Sunday is scheduled for 1 p.m., while Monday's game is scheduled for 2 p.m., according to a release from Eastern Illinois. The game time for Saturday has yet to be determined and will likely be scheduled around the Razorbacks' basketball game at No. 1 Kentucky.

Tickets purchased for the Saturday and Sunday games against California can be used on the same days against Eastern Illinois. Tickets for Friday's game against California can be used for the Monday game against Eastern Illinois.

California's trip to Arkansas was to be a return for the Razorbacks' four games played on the Berkeley campus last season. It is unknown whether Cal will make up the trip to Arkansas in a future season.

California will host Kansas State this weekend.
