Junior athlete T.J. Hammonds of Pulaski Robinson has seen a big jump in his skill set since last season.

Pulaski Robinson junior athlete T.J. Hammonds received his first scholarship offer from an SEC school when Vanderbilt extended one Tuesday night.

He also has offers from Tulsa, Marshall and La. Tech. He's a strong candidate to receive an offer from Arkansas in the near future.

Fort Smith Northside athlete Kiondre Thomas received his first scholarship offer from La. Tech Tuesday.

Junior defensive lineman Antwuan Jackson of Ellenwood, (Ga.) Cedar Grove said he and his father are looking to visit Arkansas in the spring or summer. He has more than 30 offers.

He said defensive line coach Rory Segrest showed him that he was wanted at Arkansas after visiting his school twice during the contact period in December and January.

Sophomore running back Dezmon Jackson, 6-0, 205 of Parkers Chapel had the best performance in an impressive running back group during Arkansas' Elite Camp in June of last year. He's drawing interest from Arkansas. Michigan, Nebraska, Arkansas State, La. Tech and Memphis.

He placed 108th out of 1,288 athletes in last spring's Houston Nike SPARQ Combine. Only one other freshman scored higher.

Jackson rushed for 820 yards and 12 touchdowns in 6 games as a freshman and rushed 201 times for 1,534 yards and 25 touchdowns this past season.
