Big XII commitment planning spring visit to UA

Junior Aubrey White plans to visit Arkansas in the spring.

— Junior athlete Aubrey White, who’s committed to Kansas, is planning to make a trip to Arkansas in a few months.

White, 6-1, 190, 4.55 seconds in the 40 yard dash, of Wylie, (Texas) Wylie East visited Fayetteville last year during the spring. He and running backs coach Joel Thomas stay in touch. Video highlights CLICK HERE

“Me and Arkansas, we’re on good terms right now,” White said. “I’m going to go back up there in the spring time and talk to coach Thomas.”

As a sophomore, he rushed 93 times for 563 yards and 4 touchdowns along with 10 catches for 108 yards and a touchdown. He had 241 yards and 2 touchdowns on 57 carries as a junior while having 16 receptions for 166 yards and a touchdowns.

White expects Thomas to visit his school later this month.

“I like their offense and I like how they run their system,” White said. “This past bowl game I liked it a lot. I wish I could’ve gone.”

White has a 3.3 grade point average and is looking to attend law school.

“I want to be a sport agent,” White said. “Actually my uncle is a lawyer in Dallas too and that’s really sparked my interest. I really like working with people too.”
