Hogs' rushing game excites Texas back

Running back Darius Anderson likes that Arkansas featured two 1,000 yard rushers this past season.

— With Arkansas running backs Alex Collins and Jonathan Williams rushing for more than 1,000 yards this past season, junior running back Darius Anderson said that’s helped his interest level in the Hogs.

“Now that I know that they run the ball, that’s good,” Anderson said.

Anderson, 5-11, 190, 4.46 seconds in the 40 yard dash, of Richmond, (Texas) George Ranch rushed 238 times for 1,861 yards and 14 touchdowns this past season. He was 5-9 as a sophomore and his doctor projects him to grow to 6-1. Video highlights CLICK HERE

“I hear from a lot of people all the time is that I make people miss,” Anderson said. “My feet are really good. I think that’s my best thing. I have really quick feet and I’m really good at getting to the hole and my vision. I see a lot others don’t see.”

He has has offers from Tulsa and SMU offers while drawing interest from Arkansas, Texas A&M, LSU Oregon State, Oklahoma State, Oklahoma and others.

Anderson, who also had 22 catches for 328 yards and 3 touchdowns, recorded a time of 10.9 seconds in the 100 meters last spring and long jumped 22 feet.

He said the Hogs aren’t shy about showing they’re interested in him.

“They make sure to let me know they're interested," he said.
