Thursday recruiting tidbits

Arkansas defensive coordinator Robb Smith will visit a major target in the 2016 class today.

Smith will visit Hope to check out junior defensive end McTelvin Agim. With today's visit, the Hogs will have visited the school every week during the December and January contact period.

Alabama coach Nick Saban and Auburn visited the school on Wednesday.

Hearing Ohio State Coach Urban Meyer is visiting North Little Rock to see receiver K.J. Hill today. There is not 100% confirmation on whether Hill will visit Arkansas this weekend.

Arkansas cornerback commitment Nate Dalton of Houston Cypress Falls said on Twitter that Coach Bret Bielema and defensive backs coach Clay Jennings made an in-home visit Wednesday night.

Bielema visited the school of safety Brandon Scott of Destrehan, La. on Wednesday. Scott, 6-0, 190 has visited Central Florida and Texas Tech. Video highlights CLICK HERE

Scott is expected to visit Fayetteville this weekend.

Tight ends coach Barry Lunney junior visited Little Rock Christian today to check on junior running back Damarea Crockett.

Lunney visited Jonesboro on Wednesday to evaluate sophomore receiver Jonathan Adams Jr.

Offensive line coach Sam Pittman is in the St. Louis area checking on numerous 2016 prospects. Some of the schools he's stopping by include, Christian Brother College high school, Chaminade College Preparatory and St. Louis University high school.

Pittman has also visited the Kansas City area. As reported earlier, he was in Texas earlier in the week to see offensive line target Toby Weathersby. He also visited the schools of many of the top 2016 offensive linemen.

LSU visited with Weathersby this week. Neither school will be able to see him again leading up to signing day. Sunday is a quiet period which means know no off campus visits for college coaches.

2:20 update

S-LB Kylan Johnson of Dallas Skyline will not be visiting Arkansas this weekend, according to a source at Skyline.

At this time, S Brandon Scott and LB Kendrick Jackson are expected in for official visits this weekend.

Hearing different things on whether North Little Rock receiver K.J. Hill will visit the Hogs or not. The Charging Wildcats have a home basketball game Friday night vs. Little Rock Central. If he were to visit, he would have to arrive late Friday or early Saturday morning.
