Kapita reportedly headed to post-grad school

Power forward signee Ted Kapita of Huntington Prep in West Virginia is reportedly headed to Spire Institute in Geneva, Ohio, for post-grad work, according to the Spire Twitter account.

Efforts to reach Kapita and Huntington Coach Arkell Bruce have been unsuccessful. Kapita signed with Arkansas last November.

As reported last week, Kapita has been waiting to hear from the NCAA Eligibility Center to clear him academically.

Kapita, who ESPN was ranked the No, 71 prospect in the nation for the 2015 class, is a native of Kinshasa, Congo. He moved the United States in 2011 and played at Florida Air Academy in Melbourne as a junior before enrolling at Huntington Prep.

Kapita, 6-9, 235 pounds, chose the Hogs over numerous scholarship offers from schools like West Virginia, Memphis, Oregon and Missouri.

Guard Jimmy Whitt is the lone 2015 signee on campus.
