Arkansas-Dayton set for Dec. 30

Dayton coach Archie Miller pleads with game officials against Arkansas during the first half Saturday, Dec. 13, 2014, at Bud Walton Arena in Fayetteville.

— Arkansas basketball will play at Dayton on Wednesday, Dec. 30, according to the Flyers' nonconference schedule.

The game is the second half of a home-and-home agreement between the programs. The Razorbacks beat Dayton 69-55 last December in Fayetteville.

The Flyers were 27-9 last season and won two games in the NCAA Tournament. The Razorbacks have never played a game at Dayton and haven't played in the state of Ohio since losing at Cincinnati in 1997.

Dayton is Arkansas' fourth known nonconference opponent for next season. The Razorbacks are also scheduled to play Northwestern State on Dec. 1, at Wake Forest on Dec. 4 and host Texas Tech on Jan. 30, 2016, in the SEC-Big 12 Challenge.

The Cleveland Plain Dealer has reported Arkansas will be in the NIT Season Tip Off in November. The newspaper reported other teams in the event include Villanova, Stanford, Georgia Tech, Akron and Wisconsin-Green Bay, but the field has yet to be formally announced.
