The Recruiting Guy

Louisiana forward interested in Hogs

— Arkansas recently extended an offer to Adrio Bailey and the athletic small forward is looking to take a trip to Fayetteville.

Bailey, 6-6, 205 of Campti, (La) Lakeview. is playing for Urban DFW BJ during the Adidas Fab 48. He has 18 other scholarship offers from schools like Wichita State, Old Dominion and La. Tech.

Coach Mike Anderson and the Hogs signed former Hog forward Michael Qualls out of Louisiana and Bailey has a similar skill set.

“Man I love it, it’s a great school and not too far away from home,” Bailey said of the Arkansas. “I’m pretty sure I would like to go on an official visit.”

He’s no stranger to the Razorbacks.

“When I was younger I use to go to their football games,” Bailey said. “My uncle was a big fan.”

He came in at No. 8 on The Times-Picayune’s Flashy 15 for the top 2016 prospects in Louisiana. He told why the state’s largest newspaper named him a top prospect.

“I would say getting to the rim rebounding and my aggressiveness,” he said.

Assistant T.J. Cleveland is his lead recruiter.

“He’s a great guy,” Bailey said. “He’s down-to-earth. He reminds me of home. He has that swagger to him and that reminds me of home.”

Bailey is unsure when he’ll sign with a school.

“It maybe early, but if not spring for sure,” he said.
