ESPN rates him the No. 36 center in the nation. He said he'll probably make his college decision before the start of his high school season.
Arkansas associate head coach Melvin Watkins was at the Wings 72-61 victory over EP Team Louisiana at The 8 tournament Friday afternoon. Guard Malik Monk had 13 points.
Arkansas is recruiting two prospects on Urban DFW Elite, guard Josh Parrish and guard Cameron McGriff. Assistant coach Matt Zimmerman and associate head coach Melvin Watkins attended their 2:20 game on Friday.
McGriff, 6-7, 210 of Grand Prairie, (Texas) South Grand Prairie has around seven offers including Arkansas, SMU, Houston and Oklahoma. He said he plans to visit Fayetteville. He likes to play fast pace and likes the Hogs' style of play. ESPN rates him the No. 20 small forward and No. 97 prospect in the nation.
Parrish, 6-5, 200 of Arlington, (Texas) Juan Seguin has offers from SMU, TCU, VCU and Fresno State and is hoping for one from Arkansas. He's being recruited by Zimmerman and said they have a great relationship. He's also very fond of uptempo style of play.
Zimmerman and Watkins were on hand to watch Colorado Hawks power forward target De'Ron Davis, 6-10, 230 of Aurora (Colo.) Overland Friday night.

Coach Mike Anderson and all three assistants were court side to watch the Arkansas Hawks 15-under team plat D1 Minnesota in the Adidas Uprising Summer Championships. They also watched Colorado Hawks power forward De'Ron Davis during that time. Both Hawks teams were playing on courts that backed up to each other.
The Arkansas Hawks loss 56-50 and ended the tournament at 5-1.
