FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) — Cody Jones, Evan Skoug, Derek Odell and Nolan Brown drove in runs in TCU's five-run sixth inning and the Horned Frogs beat Texas A&M 13-4 on Saturday in Game 1 of their best-of-three super regional series.

TCU (48-12) is a victory away from advancing to its second straight College World Series and third overall.

Keaton Jones was 2 for 4 with three RBIs for TCU, Odell was 4 for 5 with two RBIs, and Brown and Jeremie Fagnan also each had two RBIs.

Trey Teakell (2-1) was the winner, allowing one hit in four scoreless innings of relief.

"I know they like to swing," Teakell said. "I just figured execute pitches at the bottom of the zone and they'll get themselves out, which I did a pretty good job of today."

Aggies starter Grayson Long (9-1) had his shortest outing of the season. He allowed five runs — four earned — on seven hits in three innings.

"We had a really good scouting report on Grayson," Odell said. "We knew that he liked his fastball a lot, so we were ready to hit a fastball. I think we did a really good job of eliminating the pitches down in the zone and up in the zone."

Texas A&M dropped to 49-13.

The game attracted a Lupton Stadium-record crowd of 7,199.

"I definitely had some adrenaline in this kind of atmosphere, the biggest (home) crowd TCU has ever seen," Teakell said.
