Lance Harter has won the Sam Skinner Memorial Award, the Track and Field Writers of America announced Saturday.

The award, which is given to an administrator, athlete, coach or anyone who has supported the sport of track & field at an institution by exhibiting exemplary cooperation with the media, is the third honor Harter has earned this year. He was also named the coach of the year in the SEC and USTFCCCA South Central region.

After receiving the award, Harter's women finished fourth at the NCAA Outdoor Championships, the highest finish in program history.

The Razorbacks are the only women's team to finish in the top five in all three championships this season: cross country, indoor and outdoor track.

Earlier this year, he led Arkansas to its first women's national championship in any sport, as the Razorbacks won the NCAA Indoor Championship.
