Saturday recruiting tidbits

Power forward Tyler Cook.

Cornerback Madre Harper, an Oklahoma State commitment from Arlington (Texas) Lamar will arrive around 1:00 today for an unofficial visit.

The Hogs extended a scholarship offer to Harper, 6-3, 175, 4.5, on June 3.

Power forward Tyler Cook was touring the campus this morning. He and his parents arrived in Fayetteville Friday night.

Cook, 6-9, 235, of St. Louis Chaminade College Prep has approximately 28 scholarship offers and is rated a four-star prospect, the No. 13 power forward and No. 58 overall prospect in the nation according to ESPN.

Arkansas has about 40 kickers, punters and snappers taking part in today's specialist camp. It doesn't appear much news will come out of the camp because of the Hogs having signed a kicker and a punter in the last two classes.

As reported on Friday, highly recruited receiver Kofi Boateng, 6-1, 180, 4.6 seconds in the 40 yard dash, of Arlington, (Texas) Lamar will visit Arkansas on Monday.

He recently announced his top ten schools and Arkansas was one of them. Arizona State, Ole Miss, Maryland, Kansas State, California, Texas Tech, Vanderbilt, Washington and Wisconsin round out the list. He has 26 offers.

Arkansas' three-day camp will start at 2:00 on Sunday. Registration is from 10 to 12.
