Former Arkansas quarterback Tyler Wilson will conduct two skill camps for quarterbacks, receivers and kickers in Northwest Arkansas.

The camps will also feature former Arkansas kicker Zach Hocker, who’s now with the New Orleans Saints, as well as former Oklahoma State and NFL quarterback Zac Robinson.

“I wanted kids to have access to guys that play at a high level and give them the vision and the dream that we as NFL and college players get to live out on a daily basis,” said Wilson, who was selected by the Oakland Raiders in the fourth round of the 2013 NFL Draft. “When I was a kid in this area there wasn’t many of those opportunities to be around and associate with high level athletes.”

The first camp takes place July 10 at Greenwood High School followed by one at Springdale Har-Ber on July 11.

Registration begins at 4 p.m. for the Greenwood camp and instruction will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Registration for the Springdale Har-Ber camp will begin at 3:30 pm and instruction will be from 4 to 8 p.m.

The camps are open to quarterbacks and receivers entering the 4th and 12th grades while kickers are limited to grades 7-12. Participants will be divided by age groups.

Cost is $125 and will include a T-shirt, camp photo, sports drinks and autograph opportunities.

Wilson, who is Arkansas’ career leader in passing yardage with 7,765, said athletes will leave more knowledgeable and focused.

“Not only the fundamentals, but the mental part of the game of football that I felt like at times I was under exposed to,” Wilson said.
