Hogs sweep Eastern Illinois

— Six pitchers combined for a two-hit shutout Tuesday at Baum Stadium.

Led by Keaton McKinney's four-inning start, the Razorbacks beat Eastern Illinois 7-0. Arkansas swept the three-game series, which was scheduled last week and delayed two days by weather.

McKinney allowed one hit and worked around three walks in his second career start. The freshman also struck out three batters to lower his earned run average to 1.46.

Five relief pitchers - Parker Sanburn, Jonah Patten, Kyle Pate, Lance Phillips and Cannon Chadwick - threw one inning each. The Razorbacks' bullpen struck out seven batters and walked one.

Andrew Benintendi had two RBI hits, including a solo home run to leadoff the sixth inning. Carson Shaddy led the Razorbacks with three hits and also drew a walk while starting for the first time in right field.

Shaddy got the start in place of Tyler Spoon, who didn't play with an illness.

Benintendi had an RBI single and scored on a throwing error to give the Razorbacks a 2-0 lead in the first inning. Shaddy added a run in the third inning on a wild pitch.

Arkansas added two more runs in the fourth inning on RBI hits by Michael Bernal and Tucker Pennell. Max Hogan scored the final run in the fifth on a wild pitch.
