Arkansas clinches No. 2 seed at SEC Tournament

Arkansas coach Mike Anderson yells instruction sot his players Wednesday, March 13, 2014 during their SEC Tournament game at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta.

— Arkansas won't have to play until the third day of the SEC Tournament.

With LSU's loss to Tennessee on Wednesday, the Razorbacks clinched the No. 2 seed in the tournament. Arkansas will play the 6 p.m. game on Friday, March 13 at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee.

The Razorbacks (23-6, 12-4 SEC) can claim the SEC's second-best record outright by winning one of their final two regular season games against South Carolina on Thursday or LSU on Saturday.

If Arkansas loses its final two games, it could end the regular season in a tie with Ole Miss and/or Texas A&M for second place in the conference standings, but the Razorbacks would be the No. 2 seed in any tiebreaker.

Arkansas has never had a double-bye under the SEC Tournament's current format. The Razorbacks had a first round bye last season, but lost to South Carolina the next day.

Arkansas hasn't won an SEC Tournament game since 2008.
