As a sophomore, he rushed 121 times for 696 yards and 13 touchdowns for Camden Fairview before transferring to play for the Warriors.

“It a started when I went to Camden Fairview and the coaches put me at running back,” said Crockett. “ We had a pretty good offseason The coaches were telling me I had to work hard and I had to put on some weight. Went from about 180 pounds to 197 pounds. That’s what I weighed at Arkansas (camp).”

He scored 19 touchdowns while rushing 144 times for 1,250 yards and having 19 receptions for 250 yards and 2,500 all purpose yards.

Crockett was timed at 4.42 seconds in the 40 yard dash at an Arkansas camp last summer. He plans to play his senior season at 215 pounds.

“I’ve put on about 15 pounds,” he said. “I’ve been working out twice a day. Working out at school in the morning and with J.J. Meadors in the afternoon. He has helped me a lot as well as the weight program at Little Rock Christian.”

Crockett, who has a 315 pound bench press and squat 500, communicates with Arkansas tight ends coach Barry Lunney Jr.

“He’s just telling me that he would love to get me around the offensive cooridnator and new running backs coach Jemal Singleton,” Crockett said. “He said they’ll definitely come and watch me during the spring.”

He plans to attend at least four college camps this summer.

“I plan to go to Ole Miss, Arkansas, Memphis, Missouri,” Crockett said. “Those the only ones I have planned out so far.”

He and several in-state prospects plan to attend the Dallas Nike The Opening Regional on March 15. Crockett expects to add more weight on the next level.

“I know when I get into a college program they’ll put on another 10-15 (pounds) on me and get bigger and faster,” he said. “The main thing is keeping my speed while I gain weight.”
