Texas running back impressed with Hogs

Eno Benjamin

Highly regarded sophomore running back Eno Benjamin likes what he saw of Arkansas this past season and likes the direction the program is headed.

“I think I can fit well into their program, nobody can turn away from those huge offensive linemen,” Benjamin said. “Their record doesn't define the team they were last season and I have a good feeling it's going to turn into something special next season.”

Benjamin, 5-10, 193, 4.5 seconds in the 40 yard dash, of Wylie, (Texas) Wylie East has scholarship offers from Iowa, Kansas and Nevada while drawing interest from numerous others including Arkansas. Video highlights CLICK HERE

He’s have a lot of confidence in Coach Bret Bielema.

“I strongly believe Coach B is a great man and knows exactly what he's doing,” Benjamin said. “His great leadership role from his players on and off the field. He's one hundred percent on making this program successful.”

Benjamin had 269 carries for 1,724 yards and 25 touchdowns this past season and had 565 yards and 9 touchdowns on 72 rushes as a freshman.

He’s looking to attend camps at Arkansas, Michigan, Baylor, Iowa, Ohio State, Texas Tech, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State this summer.

He’s looking for a family atmosphere at the college of his choice.

“A family that we can build as teammates and coaches,” Benjamin said.

An excellent student, Benjamin has a 3.85 grade point average and is thinking about going to law school.

“I watch a lot of Law and Order Special Victims Unit and I've been know as a great debater- arguer, “ said Benjamin laughing.
