Thursday recruiting tidbits

Conway guard Jordan Danberry (24), who averaged 18.5 points and 6 rebounds per game last season, signed a letter of intent Thursday to play for Coach Jimmy Dykes at Arkansas.

Junior quarterback Logan Byrd reports receiving a scholarship offer from Arkansas.

Byrd, 6-3, 232, 4.50 of Kathleen, (Ga.) Veterans also has offers from North Carolina, North Carolina State, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Pittsburgh and others. He said he plans to visit the Hogs in the spring. Highlight video CLICK HERE

Pulaski Academy junior shooting guard Lawson Korita, 6-3, 180 is an outstanding shooter that's drawing interest from Arkansas and numerous others.

He's averaging 18.6 points, 4.3 rebounds and 4.1 assists while shooting 51 percent from the field, 44 percent from beyond the three-point line and 78 percent from the free throw line. Video CLICK HERE

Junior running back-quarterback Kelvin Robinson, 6-1, 195, 4.55 of Little Rock Episcopal is drawing interest from Arkansas, Wake Forest and Lehigh. Video highlights CLICK HERE

National recruiting analyst Tom Lemming of CBS Sports Network said the 2016 class in Louisiana is the best he's seen the 36 years covering the national scene. The Hogs are actively recruited several prospects in the state.

Conway guard Jordan Danberry of Conway has been named Gatorade Arkansas Girls Basketball Player of the Year.

The 5-foot-7 senior guard has led the Wampus Cats to a 24-6 record and a berth in the Class 7A championship game against Fayetteville, scheduled for March 14. The state’s returning Gatorade Girls Basketball Player of the Year, Danberry is averaging 14.0 points, 4.3 assists, 4.2 rebounds and 3.6 steals per game.

The MVP of the 2014 state title game, she is a returning All-State selection and has been named to the USA TODAY’s All-USA Arkansas First Team.

Danberry has maintained a 3.37 GPA in the classroom.

7:45- Offensive lineman Jean Delance, 6-5, 275 of Mesquite, (Texas) North Mesquite- Has stated plans to visit Fayetteville.
