The former Arkansas defensive end was selected in the fourth round, 101st overall, by the New England Patriots. He was the second player taken in the fourth round.

Flowers is the first Razorback taken in this year’s draft. It is the first time since the 2010 draft that Arkansas didn’t have a player taken in the first three rounds.

During his four-year career at Arkansas, Flowers had 190 tackles, including 47.5 tackles for loss and 18 sacks. His 47.5 tackles for loss rank second in UA history, while his 18 sacks are tied for ninth-most.

After deciding to come back to school for his senior year, Flowers racked up 68 tackles, 15.5 tackles for loss and 6 sacks in 2014, earning second-team All-SEC honors.

Flowers’ selection extended Arkansas’ streak of drafts with at least one player taken to 18 straight.

Other former Razorbacks that could hear their name called Saturday include linebacker Martrell Spaight, defensive tackle Darius Philon and tight end AJ Derby.
