North Little Rock guard KeVaughn Allen is expected to ask for a release from his Florida national letter of intent, according to Jeff Goodman of ESPN.

Allen, 6-3, 170 pounds signed with Florida over scholarship offers from Arkansas, Memphis, Kansas, Connecticut, Baylor, Mississippi State and others. Should the Gators deny his request, Allen can appeal to the national letter of intent review committee.

He was the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette Player of the Year as a junior after helping lead the Charging Wildcats to the Class 7A state title while averaging 21.0 points, 6.8 rebounds and 3.8 assists.

ESPN rates Allen the No. 18 shooting guard and No. 54 prospect in the nation.
