Despite giving up a historic home run, Mike Bolsinger managed to settle in and earn his first win of the season Tuesday night.

Giancarlo Stanton hit a 475-foot homer out of Dodger Stadium in the first inning, but that was it for the Miami Marlins, who fell to the Los Angeles Dodgers 11-1.

Bolsinger allowed just four more hits and walked two, while striking out three, in 5 2/3 innings of work. The outing was good enough to earn the win, his first of the year and second of his career.

It had been over a year since his last big-league win (a 5-2 decision over the Cubs while pitching for the Diamondbacks April 24, 2014), but he has had a few quality starts that resulted in losses or no decisions.

In fact, in his first start with the Dodgers this year, Bolsinger also gave up one earned run on five hits in 5 2/3 innings. He was in line for the win, but Los Angeles' bullpen blew it in the ninth.

Between four minor-league starts at Triple-A Oklahoma City and two major-league starts, Bolsinger has allowed only five earned runs in 30 1/3 innings, giving him an ERA of 1.48.

His only home run allowed - at either level - was Stanton's, which was only the fifth homer to leave Dodger Stadium since it was built in 1962. It was the first since Mark McGwire left the park on May 22, 1999.
