— Arkansas will host Akron next season, according to a report by CBS Sports.

The Cleveland Plain-Dealer reported last month that Arkansas and Akron were participants in the NIT Season Tip-Off. A date has not been set for the Akron game.

The Razorbacks have never played the Zips in basketball, but are 4-0 against other MAC schools, with wins over Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan, Kent State and Toledo.

Arkansas' most recent game against a MAC school was during the 2006-07 season, when it beat Central Michigan 75-59 at Bud Walton Arena.

The Zips are the Razorbacks' fourth known nonconference opponent for the 2015-16 season.

Arkansas will host Texas Tech as part of the Big 12-SEC Challenge, as well as travel to Dayton and Wake Forest as return games in a home-and-home series.
