The Recruiting Guy

Hog recruit no stranger to program

Adrio Bailey in high school in 2015.

Small forward Adrio Bailey is expected to arrive in Fayetteville around 2:30 Friday afternoon for the start of his official visit.

In his early years, Bailey was knowledgeable about the Hogs and wore former Hog guard Ronnie Brewer’s jersey.

“When I was younger I grew up watching Arkansas,” Bailey said.

Bailey, 6-6, 205 pounds, plays for Campti (La.) Lakeview and has scholarship offers from Arkansas, Wichita State, Murray State, Old Dominion and Louisiana Tech. Assistant Matt Zimmerman is his lead recruiter.

“He said I remind him of Michael Qualls,” said Bailey, whose uncle is a big Razorback fan.

He played for Urban DFW BJ during the spring and summer. Bailey averaged 15 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals and 2.3 blocks while leading his high school to a 34-4 record and the Class 2A runner-up.

Bailey, who will be the lone visitor this weekend, likes that Arkansas is close to home, but isn’t hinting of a possible commitment during his visit.

“I don’t know, we’ll have to see how it goes,” Bailey said.
