Razorbacks picked 11th in preseason poll

The preseason poll was released Wednesday in conjunction with SEC Media Day in Charlotte, North Carolina. Kentucky was picked to win the conference, followed by Vanderbilt and Texas A&M.

The Razorbacks finished ahead of Tennessee, Alabama and Mississippi State in the preseason poll. No Arkansas players were listed on the first- or second-team preseason all-SEC teams.

LSU freshman Ben Simmons was voted the preseason pick for the SEC player of the year. Other members of the preseason first-team included Ole Miss guard Stefan Moody, Texas A&M guard Danuel House, Kentucky guard Tyler Ullis, Kentucky forward Skal Labissiere and Vanderbilt center Damian Jones.

Second-team players included Florida forward Dorian Finney-Smith, Kentucky forward Alex Poythress, Mississippi State guard Malik Newman, Georgia guard Charles Mann, LSU guard Tim Quarterman and Texas A&M guard Alex Caruso.

Arkansas Coach Mike Anderson, guard Anthlon Bell and center Moses Kingsley will represent the Razorbacks at media day on Wednesday.
