Athlete Tyrell Alexander, 6-2, 178, 4.41 of Lancaster, Texas said he plans to officially visit Arkansas for the Auburn game Oct. 24. He was committed to Oklahoma State, but reopened his recruiting July 25. Linebackers coach Vernon Hargreaves will visit the school today. He'll also take an official visit to Tennessee.

Junior linebacker Anthony Hines, 6-3, 225, 4.52, from Plano East High School plans to attend the Arkansas-Texas A&M game on Saturday. He's visited Fayetteville twice and is looking to maybe make a game this fall. He talks to Coach Bret Bielema, running backs coach Jemal Singleton, defensive coordinator Robb Smith and linebackers coach Vernon Hargreaves. He said he and Bielema communicate everyday on Twitter.

He has more than 60 scholarship offers, including offers from Arkansas, Ohio State, Oklahoma, LSU, Michigan and Notre Dame.

He hopes to visit Fayetteville, but doesn't have a set date. He might narrow his list of more than 30 offers to five or six in the offseason.

Several coaches in the Dallas-Fort Worth area didn't think Bielema's comments at the Texas High School Coaches convention was a big deal. They pretty much dismissed any notion the comments would hurt Arkansas in Texas.
