The Recruiting Guy

Recruits react to A&M game

Jake Heinrich

Several Arkansas commitments and a couple of recruits react to the Hogs 28-21 loss.

Offensive lineman Jake Heinrich- Urbandale, Iowa:

"I loved watching the guys battle and play hard. I saw physicality and fire from them that has me excited for the rest of the season and beyond."

Fullback Hayden Johnson-Columbia, (Mo.) Rock Bridge attended game:

"Amazing experience and not a terrible turnout through my eyes. With this being my first Arkansas game, fans were incredibly nice and welcoming to me and my family. Impressed with Arkansas play and intensity until the finish, a couple calls that went the wrong way and a few errors caused the loss, but I'm not worried about the direction of the team whatsoever."

Tight end Grayson Gunter-Madison, (Miss.) Central:

"I thought Arkansas played good enough to win, but just couldn't get it done in the 4th quarter."

Defensive lineman Austin Capps- Star City attended game:

"They looked like a much improved team."

Linebacker Alexy Jean-Baptiste- Pompano Beach, (Fla.) Coconut Creek:

"It was a great game. The defense stepped up a little bit and I still think we should've won the game."

Quarterback Cole Kelley- Lafayette, (La.) Teurlings Catholic:

"I thought Brandon threw the ball really well and I thought we ran the ball well and I think Coach Enos called a really good game. They just needed to finish off the game when they had Texas A&M on their heels."

Defensive lineman Michael Williams- All Saints Fort Worth:

"It was a great game by both sides and they both executed their game plans. Arkansas played very physical while A&M was able to use speed and finesse. A great game overall."

Defensive end Levi Onwuzurike- Allen, Texas:

"The Arkansas game was great even though they lost. Their defense looked pretty nice."
