Linebacker Baron Browning is one of the top junior prospects in the nation.

— Junior linebacker Baron Browning is committed to Baylor, but is still communicating with Arkansas Coach Bret Bielema on Twitter.

“Really we’re just talking about me getting back down there and meeting my family over this next year building our relationship and getting it stronger especially with my family and checking on my parents and stuff like that,” Browning said.

Browning, 6-2, 225, 4.62 seconds in the 40 yard dash, of Kennedale, Texas is rated the No. 2 outside linebacker and No. 39 overall prospect in the nation by ESPN. Arkansas was the third school to offer after his outstanding showing at the 2014 summer camp. Baylor and Oklahoma State had previously offered.

Bielema let Browning know he can make him a better player.

“He was telling me how little time he had with Martrell Spaight and how he helped him and he can imagine what he can do with me over four years,” Browning said.

Browning, who’s considering a visit to Fayetteville for a game this fall, recalls his impression of Bielema during the Arkansas camp.

“I like how honest he was,” Browning said. “I remember the first time I was there and I was talking to him and I don’t remember exactly what he was saying, but he’ll tell you straight forward. He’s not going to sugarcoat it and he’s going to be straight forward and get to the point.”
