A highly regarded running back still has plans to make an official visit to Arkansas.

Katy, Texas Coach Gary Joseph said running back Kyle Porter, 5-11, 194, 4.4 plans to officially visit Arkansas.

ESPN rates him the No. 17 running back and No. 161 overall prospect in the nation, He rushed 147 times for 1,006 yards and 17 touchdowns while having 34 receptions for 276 yards and 5 touchdowns as a junior. He also plans to visit Texas, TCU, Baylor and Oregon.

As a sophomore, Porter had 1,877 rushing yards and 23 touchdowns on 255 carries and was named the District 19-5A Co-Newcomer of the Year. He’s being recruited by defensive backs coach Clay Jennings and running backs coach Jemal Singleton.

Arkansas defensive line commitment Austin Capps of Star City had 3 tackles, 1 sack for 8 yard loss, blocked PA and 10 pancake blocks in a win over Monticello. He didn't play defense in second half.

LR McClellan junior athlete Pierre Strong had 20 rushes for 131 yards, 2 receptions 36 yards and a touchdown in 14-13 win over Beebe.

Linebacker target Jordan Carmouche of Manvel, Texas said his dad will accompany him on his official visit to Arkansas on Oct. 24.

Arkansas women's coach Jimmy Dykes visited Central Arkansas Christian on Monday to check on highly recruited sophomore guard Christyn Williams.

ESPN rates Williams, 5-10 the No. 3 overall prospect in the nation for the 2018 class.
