1. Toops’ grand slam extends season

Junior catcher Brady Toops hit a two-out grand slam in the top of the ninth to lift Arkansas to an 11-9 elimination-game win over Wichita State, keeping the Hogs’ season alive in the 2004 Fayetteville regional in coach Dave Van Horn’s second year. The Razorbacks advanced to play Florida State in a Super Regional, also at Baum Stadium.

2. Seminole sweep leads to Omaha

Arkansas followed up its rally in the regional by earning a trip to the College World Series in a two-game sweep of Florida State in the Super Regional in front of two massive crowds. A then-record throng of 9,603 fans witnessed the 7-5 win in game one, while 10,027 fans, 13th most, watched the 4-2 victory that sent the Hogs to Omaha for the first time since 1989.

3. Records fall as Hogs earn eighth trip to CWS

The masses showed up for Arkansas’ 2015 Super Regional series against Missouri State, creating an electric atmosphere as the Razorbacks advanced back to Omaha in front of the three largest crowds in stadium history. The Hogs routed MSU 18-4 in front of 11,869 fans in game one, while a record 12,167 watched the Bears even the series with a 3-1 win the next day. But 11,694 were in attendance Sunday when the Hogs won a 3-2 nail biter to advance.

4. McCann’s dramatic walk-off tops LSU

Catcher James McCann hit a walk-off, three-run home run in the bottom of the ninth to give Arkansas a stunning 4-3 victory over LSU in April 2011. The Tigers had scored a trio of runs in the top of the ninth to take a 3-0 lead, but could only watch as the Razorbacks celebrated for several minutes on the field with a then-record crowd of 11,013 doing the same in the stands.

5. Schmidt, Hogs top Price, No. 1 Vandy

The much-hyped March 2007 showdown between Arkansas’ Nick Schmidt and Vanderbilt’s David Price, two future first-round picks, didn’t wind up being a pitcher’s duel, but the game itself lived up to the hype, with Logan Forsythe’s sacrifice fly in the 10th inning lifting No. 9 Arkansas to an 8-7 victory over the top-ranked Commodores in front of 9,216 fans, one of the largest conference crowds in Baum history. The series held the record for Arkansas’ largest three-day attendance mark for many years.

6. House walk-off grand slam tops South Carolina

Pinch-hitter Jacob House delivered a walk-off, grand-slam home run in the bottom of the ninth as Arkansas topped No. 13 South Carolina 12-11 in a thrilling Friday night game in early May 2008. The hit capped a comeback from a 9-3 deficit and came on a fireworks night, which led to the fireworks being deployed as House rounded the bases. The win set up an impressive weekend sweep for the Razorbacks.

7. Kuhn’s grand slam wins Easter slugfest

Collin Kuhn delivered a walk-off, grand slam to lift Arkansas to a wild 17-16 win over Kentucky on Easter Sunday in 2010, heroics which took place after the Razorbacks squandered an eight-run lead. The victory gave Arkansas a rubber-game win in a hotly contested series.

8. Hogs complete massive rally in snow

Arkansas fought back from an 11-run deficit to beat South Carolina 17-16 on a walk-off, completing the improbable comeback in the midst of an early March snowstorm in 1998, one of the earliest classic finishes in stadium history.

9. DeBriyn’s Hogs sweep top-ranked Tigers

The final home series in a frustrating 2001 season provided a major bright spot in a 27-29 season as Arkansas swept No. 1 LSU in early May after entering the series 8-16 in SEC play. The Razorbacks put together their best baseball that weekend, beating the Tigers 8-1, 5-4 and 4-3.

10. Hogs sweep ASU in battle of No. 1s

Arkansas and Arizona State both entered their April 2009 matchups ranked No. 1 by different publications, but the Razorbacks emerged as the better team after a two-game midweek series. Arkansas won the first game 7-3 and then earned the series sweep by edging the Sun Devils 8-7 in the second game in front of 11,014 fans, the fifth-largest crowd in Baum history.
