Tuesday recruiting tidbits: Top DB prospect to visit Hogs

Another top prospect plans to visit Arkansas on Saturday.

Safety Todd Harris of Plaquemine, La. plans to attend the Hogs' spring game. ESPN rates him the No. 5 safety and No. 54 overall prospect in the nation. He said he's coming up with receiver Kendrick Paul of Livonia, La., receiver Johnathan Jones and safety Gaston Richardson of Shreveport Evangel.

Harris said Jones talked highly about the Hogs after making a recent trip to Fayetteville.

Arkansas defensive line signee Austin Capps is batting .410 with a .495 on base percentage, 3 doubles, 19 RBIs and 5 stolen bases at 320 pounds.

Marked Tree junior offensive-defensive lineman Nick Andrews, 6-4, 275 visited Missouri State on Friday and Arkansas on Saturday. Both schools invited him to a summer camp. He's visiting Memphis today and will visit Arkansas State on Wednesday. Video highlights CLICK HERE

As noted in Monday's recruiting tidbits, Arkansas linebacker signee Giovanni LaFrance was hoping to bring his cousin and highly recruited safety Brad Stewart with him.

Stewart of McDonough High School in New Orleans just announced he would be visiting this weekend. He is the No. 11 safety and No. 133 overall prospect by ESPN.
