Blake Parker called up by Mariners

Blake Parker has pitched his way back into Major League Baseball.

Parker, a right-hander, was promoted by the Seattle Mariners on Thursday. It is the first time Parker has made an MLB roster since 2014 when he made 18 appearances for the Chicago Cubs.

In three full or partial seasons with the Cubs, Parker has an ERA of 3.68.

Parker has pitched this season for the Mariners' Triple-A affiliate in Tacoma, Wash. In 38 relief appearances he has a 2.72 ERA.

Parker is the 11th former Arkansas player to make an MLB roster this season.
