ESPN elevates Arkansas hoops pledge Darious Hall to 4-star prospect

Darious Hall

— Arkansas now has a trio of four-star basketball prospects in its 2017 basketball recruiting class.

ESPN.com elevated Little Rock Mills senior small forward Darious Hall (6-7, 210 pounds) to a four-star prospect in its post-summer rankings.

It comes after a big spring and summer that saw Hall shine for the Memphis Magic on the Adidas Uprising Gauntlet circuit.

“My hard work paid off,” Hall said Monday night. “I wish they could have bumped me up a little more, but I will get to work on that this season.

“I just feel like it was a great spring and summer for me. I think they saw my heart and how much I want to win, how hard I play, how I improved my shooting and how hard I go to the basket.”

Hall joins El Dorado center Daniel Gafford (6-11, 233) and Little Rock Parkview guard Khalil Garland (6-6, 190) as Razorback commits in the 2017 class.

Gafford is ranked No. 52 in ESPN.com’s rankings while Garland comes in at No. 61. Hall is just outside of the top 100.

“Khalil and I are planning on taking our official visits during homecoming,” Hall said of the Razorbacks' football game against Ole Miss on Oct. 15.

The Razorbacks also have a trio of 2018 commits in Fort Smith Northside shooting guard Isaiah Joe (6-2, 170), Jonesboro point guard Desi Sills (6-1, 170) and Thomasville, Ga., forward Reggie Perry (6-10, 225).

Little Rock Christian point guard Justice Hill (5-10, 160) is committed for the class of 2019.
