— Arkansas defensive end signee Michael Taylor of Riverside, Calif., Community College arrived in Fayetteville on Friday afternoon with hopes he can still play this season for the Razorbacks.

Taylor, who signed a financial-aid agreement in July with Arkansas, has been waiting clearance by the NCAA and missed the first three weeks of practice.

"I'm here on campus," Taylor texted.

Taylor, who has already used a redshirt year, will have three years to play three if his eligibility is approved.

If not, he will have two years to play two.

Taylor began his collegiate career on a track scholarship at North Carolina Central and also attended a semester at Coffeville, Kan., CC before making the move to Riverside last season.

He had 50 tackles, 21 for lost yardage and seven sacks for Riverside last season.
