Razorbacks make TV season debut

Dusty Hannahs of Arkansas looks to pass as Junior Robinson of Mount St. Mary's guards on Monday Nov. 28, 2016 during the game in Bud Walton Arena in Fayetteville.

FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas’ basketball team is playing on television tonight rather having its game shown on the Internet.

The Razorbacks’ first five games were available on SEC Network-plus or ESPN3, which required watching on a computer, cell phone or overthe-top app.

The Arkansas-Stephen F. Austin game at 8 tonight in Walton Arena is being televised on the SEC Network.

“It will be good to get on there,” Razorbacks Coach Mike Anderson said. “Playing on the SEC Network, it’s going to be televised nationally.”

All of Arkansas’ remaining games — except Saturday night against Austin Peay and Dec. 22 against Sam Houston State — will be televised on the SEC Network, ESPNU or ESPN2.

Former Razorback All-SEC guard Pat Bradley will be the SEC Network’s color analyst for the Arkansas-Stephen F. Austin game. This is the first season Bradley, a Little Rock radio talk show host, is working for the SEC Network.

“It’s a good opportunity for Pat to showcase how he’s kind of grown in the industry,” Anderson said. “Being part of the SEC Network gives him an opportunity to call a game where he played, his alma mater. I think that’s a cool deal.”
