UA to show Belk Bowl at Bud Walton Arena

— The University of Arkansas will display the Razorbacks’ Belk Bowl appearance against Virginia Tech on the video boards at Walton Arena prior to the men’s basketball team’s SEC opener against Florida on Dec. 29.

The doubleheader will cost $15 for fans who don’t already have tickets to the basketball opener, which will tip off at 8 p.m.

The Belk Bowl kicks off at 4:30 p.m. from Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, N.C. If the football game isn’t over at the time of the basketball tipoff, it will be shown on a split screen on the video board with no audio.

Doors will open at 4 p.m. for fans with tickets to the basketball game. Fans are asked to sit in their assigned basketball seats to watch the football game. Free popcorn will be available along with special half-priced concession items from 4 p.m. until basketball tipoff.

Students with access passes can buy up to four $10 guess passes for family and friends for the event.

Arkansas is opening SEC basketball play in December for the first time since joining the SEC and playing the Gators at Walton Arena for the first time since the 2013-14 season.
