T.J. Hammonds of Pulaski Robinson High School signs with Arkansas on National Signing Day.

Four-star recruit T.J. Hammonds signed with the Hogs on Wednesday during a national signing day ceremony attended by family and friends at Pulaski Robinson High School.

Hammonds, a 5-foot 11-inch, 189-pound recruit, committed to the Hogs in April 2015 and chose Arkansas over offers from Alabama, Georgia, TCU and several other schools, according to ESPN.

"It's exciting because not everybody gets the opportunity to go through this process, so it's a great feeling," Hammonds said. "I'm ready to get on campus and go to work."

During his high school career, he rushed 103 times for 1,375 yards and 22 touchdowns. He also had 662 yards and six touchdowns on 27 receptions as a senior.

The Hogs will look to utilize the recruit as a running back or wide receiver.

Two of Hammonds' teammates, Brian Kindall and Trent Dunn, signed with Northeastern Oklahoma A&M, and teammate Tanda Bullock signed with Henderson State University.
