Fayetteville defensive lineman Akial Byers is one of several of the top 2017 prospects in the state to be spotlighted in the next couple of weeks.
Byers, 6-4, 265 pounds has scholarship offers from Mississippi State, Iowa State, Arkansas State and Memphis.
He's also drawing interest from Arkansas, Alabama, Florida State, Auburn, LSU, Texas A&M, Notre Dame, Stanford and Michigan.
He made the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette All Arkansas second team and was named the outstanding defensive lineman in the Class 7A-West.
