Lindsey joins Hogs as preferred walk-on

Jack Lindsey, Springdale quarterback, throws a pass on Friday Nov. 6, 2015 during the game against Rogers in Springdale's Jarrell Williams Bulldog Stadium.

Springdale quarterback Jack Lindsey is the latest in-state prospect that has agreed to be a preferred walk-on at Arkansas.

Lindsey, 6-4, 180 pounds completed 201 of 365 passes for 2,226 yards and 16 touchdowns while throwing 6 interceptions as a senior. He also had interest from Hendrix and Missouri Southern.

Springdale Coach Zak Clark is optimistic about Lindsey's future on the Hill.

"Toughest kid I've ever coached," Clark said. "He's young, won't turn 18 until he graduates. He has made unbelievable improvement over the last three years. After he finishes growing and after being in the weight room for a few years, it wouldn't surprise me one bit to see him flourish at Arkansas."
