Arkansas safety target sets visit, may visit another time before decision

Arkansas safety target Montaric Brown has set a date to visit one of his finalists and another visit is a possibility.

Brown, 6-1, 180, 4.5 seconds in the 40-yard dash, of Ashdown narrowed his list of schools to Arkansas, Alabama, Oklahoma State, Auburn and LSU last week.

He said plans to visit Alabama on Aug. 21 and may visit Arkansas again before he announces his college decision on his birthday on Aug. 24. He visited the Crimson Tide on March 11.

Brown has visited Arkansas on March 5, April 22-23 and for the three-day camp on June 19-21. He also attended the Hogs' June 5 satellite camp in Little Rock.

ESPN rates Brown the No. 11 safety and No. 187 overall prospect in the nation. He had 112 tackles, 4 tackles for loss, 8 pass deflections, a forced fumble and 5 interceptions with 3 returned for touchdowns as a junior.

Brown's Alabama visit date is July 21, not Aug. 21. .
