Trest commits to Diamond Hogs

Elijah Trest comes home after hitting a sixth-inning grand slam at Longview Spring Hill High School against Spring Hill. The home run turned what was a 2-1 game into a 6-1 game. It was Trest's only homer of the year. The date was March 25, 2015.

Elijah Trest committed to the Razorbacks on Monday. Trest (6-foot-2, 180 lbs.) will be a junior next season at White Oak High School in east Texas.





Trest, who bats left-handed and throws right, is a two-year player at White Oak and as a sophomore was named all-distrcit with 2 home runs, 8 RBI and 13 runs scored in 19 games.

He also pitched and recorded a 3.32 ERA and 23 strikeouts in 25 1/3 innings.

Trest is the sixth commitment to Arkansas' 2018 class, according to a list compiled by HogNation.net. Verbal commitments are non-binding.
