Top 2018 QB expected to visit Arkansas

New Jersey junior quarterback Allan Walters likes Arkansas' pro-style offense.

A highly regarded 2018 quarterback plans to visit Arkansas in the near future.

Junior quarterback Allan Walters and his parents are looking to arrive in Fayetteville on Aug. 1 and visit the following two days.

Walters, 6-2, 205, 4.79, of Paramus Catholic has scholarship offers from Arkansas, Alabama, Ole Miss, Michigan, Mississippi State, Rutgers, Louisville and several others. He completed 105 of 193 passes for 1,373 yards and 15 touchdowns as a sophomore.

He received an offer from the Razorbacks on April 29. Walters, who has a 3.8 grade point average, was hoping to visit Arkansas during the June three-day camp, but was unable to make it.

National recruiting analyst Tom Lemming of CBS Sports Network first met Walters as a freshman and knew he was special.

"Even then I knew he was going to be a big-time ballplayer," Lemming said. "He's smart, athletic and has a big-time arm. Even though at that time he wasn't the starter, he had the respect of the varsity players that I met when I was interviewing them. He's a four-star prospect."
