FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas pitcher Barrett Loseke has been selected to play in his summer league's all-star game.

Loseke, a right-hander, was selected to play for the West team of the Coastal Plain League. The game is scheduled to be played July 11 in Fayetteville, N.C.
In five starts for the Gastonia (N.C) Grizzlies this summer, Loseke is 2-2 with a 2.80 ERA. He has 40 strikeouts and 8 walks in 30 innings.
Loseke was a brief weekend starter during his freshman season at Arkansas before he finished the season as a reliever. He finished the season with a 3.03 ERA in 17 appearances, but struggled with command and walked 20 batters, threw 7 wild pitches and hit 3 batters.
