— Offensive linemen that like to play smash-mouth football are usually are fond of Arkansas’ style of play.

Highly regarded junior offensive lineman Jamaree Salyer is one of those guys that enjoys getting physical.

“I’m very interested,” said Salyer of the Hogs. “It’s a great place and they’re known for running the ball and pounding the ball. I feel like that could really develop me as a player playing in the SEC and help me get to the next level.”

Salyer, 6-4, 327 pounds of Atlanta, (Ga.) Pace Academy has numerous scholarship offers from schools like Arkansas, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Clemson, Michigan, Miami, South Carolina and others. He's the lone junior offensive lineman selected to take part in The Opening.

Arkansas Coach Bret Bielema is known for producing NFL ready linemen and his 11 offensive linemen drafted into the NFL as a head coach has Salyer’s attention.

“I looked up his resume and he has a good resume,” Salyer said.

Salyer, who has a 3.5 grade point average, is impressed with Arkansas’ highly regarded business school.

“I want to go some place where the degree means something,” he said. “A good degree that would help me if I don’t get to the league. I want to be an entrepreneur one day and start my own business so if a degree from Arkansas would help me with that ,then that’s a place I’ll consider.”
