Wednesday recruiting tidbit: Hog target expected to visit soon

An Arkansas target is expected to visit Fayetteville soon.

Offensive tackle Dalton Wagner, 6-9, 300 pounds, of Richmond-Burton High School in Richmond, Ill., said he'll visit the Hogs next week or the following week.

He has scholarship offers from Arkansas, Illinois, California, Indiana, Louisville, Utah, Virginia and others. He and his father visited Fayetteville in early March. His mother is expected to make the upcoming trip.

Offensive lineman D'Marcus Hayes, 6-6, 315, said he'll make an official visit to Louisville this weekend and Cincinnatti next weekend. He has scholarship offers from Florida, Auburn, Louisville, Mississippi State, South Florida, Iowa State and others.

Arkansas Hawks 16-under power forward Caleb Stokes of Little Rock Parkview is seeing his stock go up this summer. Iowa State is showing strong interest. The Hawks are 24-4 this spring and summer.

Desmond Gumbs, who's the father of Arkansas linebacker target Addison Gumbs, is good friends with Rick Town Sr., the father of Arkansas quarterback Ricky Town. The two coached youth football for a couple of years.

The older Gumbs said Rick told him his son loves Arkansas. Addison and his parents are considering taking an unofficial visit to Fayetteville this fall. They visited Arkansas in early April.

Gumbs, 6-4, 215 of Hayward, (Calif.) Stellar Prep has more than 20 offers from schools like Arkansas, Oregon, Washington, Arizona State, UCLA, Vanderbilt, Oklahoma and others.

Cornerback Endrickson Boucher, 5-11, 165, 4.44 of Delray Beach,(Fla.) Atlantic said he's trying to visit Arkansas July 25. He received an offer from the Hogs during the South Florida satellite camp on June 13.

As reported more than a week ago, Razorback cornerback commitment Korey Hernandez and his head coach are expected to visit the Hogs on July 21.

Hernandez, 5-11, 175, 4.5 of Ellenwood (Ga.) Cedar Grove, picked the Hogs over about 15 scholarship offers from schools like Maryland, Iowa, Georgia Tech, Wake Forest, South Florida, Southern Miss, Tulane, Kent State, Toledo and others.

Also reported earlier, Hog receiver commitment Maleek Barkley of Austin (Texas) Lake Travis and his brother, receiver Isiaha Conner, a 2018 prospect, will also visit Fayetteville on July 21.
